The
difference between Silks, Latex
and 'Real Touch':
The term ‘silks’
is commonly used these days to
describe any type of artificial
flower. However real ‘silks’
hold the lowest grade of the
three most commonly used flowers
in artificial wedding bouquets
and flower arrangements.

three grades of 'silk' flowers

Flowers:
Latex
flowers hold a closer
likeness to real flowers than
silk flowers, and have a more
realistic touch and feel to

'Real
Touch' Flowers:
‘Real
Touch’ flowers are the
highest grade artificial flowers
currently available. 'Real
Touch' flowers are commonly used
due to their brilliant
resemblance to fresh flowers,
and are extremely difficult
(even in close up professional
photographs) to determine if the
flowers are real or artificial.

things to remember when choosing
your 'silk'
flower
supplier for your wedding:
When choosing your silk flower
supplier, ensure you are
comparing "apples with
apples" - always ensure you know what grade of 'silks' you
are receiving. We only use the
highest grade of each flower
available (this means that the
majority of our flower
arrangement and bouquets are
comprised of 'real touch'
flowers).
