Operating
as Conwy Farms,
my wife and I run a moderately small Organic Egg Farm on the New
England Highway just south of Toowoomba.
Toowoomba
is the largest city in the area known as the Darling Downs with a
population of around 100,000 people. It is 150kms west of Brisbane.
Considered
the garden belt of South East Queensland over 70% of Australian
Organic Eggs are produced in this region.
We
are one of a handful of farms producing organic eggs which primarily
supply the entire country.
Our
number of birds vary according to climatic conditions, clean-outs and
crop rotation, but usually we would run around 9000 laying hens.

Certification
We
are certified with Australian
Certified Organics.
Packaging
Our
packaging reflects this certification symbol and the necessary
barcodes. Whilst the bulk of our eggs find their way to our
wholesaler, we do market a number of sizes both in Queensland and New
South Wales. Our large,
extra large and jumbo packaging
are exclusively ours and comply with the requirements of Queensland
Health, Weight and Measures and the National Food Standards Code.

the property every Monday.
